Summer 2023 Update

Please join us in congratulating Leana Romero Maldonado as the 2023 Milton McPike Legacy Scholarship recipient!

Leana plans to attend UW-Madison and study nursing.  We are excited to offer her a four-year scholarship and help her along the way!  Congrats, Leana!

We were very thankful to have alumni committee members Jill Oelke, John Younger, and Kathern Felton Paige join the East High staff in presenting the scholarship.  

​

We were also honored to be joined by Robin Ross-Henning, who helped us present the scholarship.  Robin is the daughter of the late Alden 'Pete' Ross as well as a fellow East graduate.  

​

Mr. Ross was a longtime, beloved teacher at East and close friend and colleague of Milt McPike.  We are grateful for the chance to honor Mr. Ross along with Mr. McPike, and thankful for the Ross family's support of the McPike Scholarship this year.
